Pricing questions
What counts as an upload?
One upload is one shopper’s completed upload for one item they add to the cart. If you allow several files per item, those files together count as one upload. Uploads that are started but never finished don’t count. The count resets on the first day of each month (UTC).
What happens when I reach my monthly limit?
We email you, and the uploader tells shoppers that uploads are paused on your store until the next month or until you upgrade. Upgrading takes effect straight away. Files already uploaded are not affected.
How does the free trial work?
Every new store gets Pro free for 14 days from the moment you connect it. No card is needed. When the trial ends, your store moves to the Free plan unless you’ve chosen a paid plan, so you’re never charged by surprise.
How do yearly plans work?
Yearly plans cost the same as 10 months, so you get 2 months free. You pay once a year and can switch between monthly and yearly from the billing page in your dashboard.
Can I change plans or cancel?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from the billing page in your dashboard, which opens Stripe’s secure customer portal. After you cancel, your store moves to the Free plan at the end of the period you’ve paid for.
What happens to my files if I downgrade?
File retention always follows your current plan. If you move to a plan with shorter retention, files older than the new limit are deleted in the next daily cleanup, so download anything you want to keep first. Uploads that never get attached to an order are deleted after 7 days on every plan.
How does Studio work for designers?
Studio covers up to 5 Squarespace sites under one login. Connect your Studio site first, then connect each client site while you’re signed in; every site in the group gets Studio features. Designers and agencies can ask about our referral program at support@carttuck.com.
Which Squarespace plan do I need?
Core or higher, because the uploader is added with Code Injection. On Squarespace’s Basic plan you can still collect files after checkout with the post-checkout upload page on Maker, Pro and Studio plans.
What currency are prices in?
US dollars. Payments are handled by Stripe. Depending on where your business is, sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout. The Free plan never asks for a card.
