Acceptable Use Policy

This policy applies to every merchant who uses CartTuck and to every file uploaded through CartTuck on a merchant’s store. Merchants are responsible for making sure their stores and their shoppers’ uploads follow it. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

Prohibited content

You may not upload, collect or store through CartTuck any content that:

• sexually exploits or endangers children. We report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement, and terminate the account immediately;
• is intimate imagery shared without the consent of the people shown;
• infringes copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights, or violates someone’s privacy or publicity rights;
• threatens, harasses or incites violence against people or groups, or promotes terrorism or violent extremism;
• contains malware, or files disguised as another type to get around our checks;
• contains personal data you have no right to collect, such as stolen identity documents or payment card data;
• is otherwise illegal where it is uploaded, where the merchant operates, or in the United States.

Prohibited uses

You may not:

• use CartTuck as general file storage, file sharing or a content delivery network, or to send files to anyone other than the merchant who received the order;
• connect a Squarespace site you are not authorized to manage;
• get around plan limits, rate limits or security measures, including by connecting extra free sites to avoid upload limits;
• probe, scan, load-test or attack CartTuck, or try to access another merchant’s data, without our written permission;
• reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it despite this restriction;
• resell or white-label the Service without an agreement with us;
• use re-upload requests or other CartTuck emails for anything other than genuine follow-ups on orders, such as marketing or spam.

If you find a security vulnerability, please report it to us rather than testing it further; we appreciate responsible disclosure.

Reporting abuse

Email abuse@carttuck.com with the address of the store, the upload code (it looks like CT-7K2QXM) or order number if you know it, and what the problem is. For copyright complaints, follow our Copyright and DMCA Policy so we can act on your notice. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

Enforcement

If we reasonably believe this policy has been broken, we may, depending on the seriousness:

• delete the files involved;
• pause uploads on the store;
• suspend or terminate the merchant’s account;
• report the matter to law enforcement or other authorities where required or appropriate.

We usually tell the merchant what we’ve done and why, unless the law prevents it or doing so would risk harm. We may act without prior notice when there is a risk of harm to people, to the Service or to other customers. Merchants can reply to our notice to ask us to reconsider.
